Name: Chrome Dokuro
Fandom: Katekyo Hitman Reborn!
Gender: Female
Age: 13
Time Period: Post battle with Glo Xinia. As in, immediately after the battle.
Wing Color: White
History: http://reborn.wikia.com/wiki/Chrome_Dok uro
Personality: Preferring to use the least possible number of words as she can, Chrome can be described mostly as an introverted and shy girl with a slight hint at a confidence issue. Despite the fact that she keeps to herself most of the time, her determination and loyalty are the traits that seem to shine the most--both traits exemplified by the fights that she has been involved in.
In the earlier chapters of the Varia arc, she was introduced as the Guardian of the Mist during the battle with Mammon, better known as Viper. Although the rest of the Guardians were skeptical of her because she resembled Mukuro so much, Tsuna believed that she and Mukuro were different, and thus allowed her to fight the battle. Her attitude in battle then changes drastically from when she first appears as her expression and stance allow others to notice her determination and will to fight.
During her second major fight, in which she is forced to face Glo Xinia, Chrome refuses to believe that Glo Xinia's killed the future!Mukuro, and thus decides to land the first blow. Greatly underestimating Glo Xinia, she comes to realize that he is a much stronger, as her illusions aren't effective on him either. In an attempt to finish her off and claim her Mist Ring, Glo Xinia decides to summon his Rain Owl, but this backfires on him as his Rain Owl turns into a Mist Owl, due to the fact that Mukuro had possessed the owl in their own fight. Once the tables were turned against Glo Xinia, Mukuro's spirit continued to aid her in order to ensure that she would defeat Glo Xinia. Through his guidance and her Mist Ring, Chrome was able to create three life-like illusions of those that she believed in the most--these three illusions being Mukuro, Ken, and Chikusa.
Strengths: As Guardian of the Mist Ring, one of her abilities is to control, create, and in some cases, enhance illusions. While Chrome's ability to create illusions is not as impressive as Mukuro's, she possesses techniques quite similar to his. Of Mukuro's Six Paths of Rebirth, the manga depicts that Chrome herself can use at least two of them. Aside from being a skilled illusionist, she too, has some decent skills with hand-to-hand combat. Her weapon of choice--which is exactly the same as Mukuro's--is the trident which is used both for physical attacks as well as aiding her when creating illusions.
Notably, and as mentioned before, one of the biggest mental strengths that she has would be her fierce loyalty to those that she trusts. She cherishes Mukuro, as well as Ken and Chikusa--although the two seem to only be protecting her due to the fact that Mukuro shares her body. Chrome believes that as long as Mukuro has a use for her, then she would do anything in order to help him out.
Weaknesses: One of the major physical weaknesses about her would be that she has lacks real organs. Due to this, Chrome can be considered as a somewhat frail girl. Chrome--who was originally known as Nagi--ran into the street in order to save a cat, and as a result, she was the victim of a car accident that resulted in her loss of some of her organs, as well as sight in one eye. As neither of her parents were willing to give up organs for her, she was already on the brink of death before Mukuro managed to meet with her. Because of their meeting, he created illusionary organs in order for her to continue living. As illusions, these organs depend on how well the person controlling them is faring. Whenever Mukuro or Chrome have sustained a decent amount of damage, it is clear that Chrome's organs and overall health will take a sudden downturn as well, and depending on the case, it could even be life threatening.
Physical weakness aside, her mental weaknesses stem from the fact that she is a very non-social person. Her confidence, especially, tends to waver mainly because she does not think too highly of herself in many situations. When faced with a difficult situation such as a battle, Chrome tends to get intimidated easily, often panicking because she does not believe that she can win against such overwhelming opponents. Frequently, Mukuro's words of encouragement are needed in order for her to use her power at its fullest. It is usually after his guidance and advice, that she can finally face her opponents without hesitation and fear. In addition, as more of the introverted type, Chrome keeps things to herself and as such, expresses her opinion only when she feels it necessary. In most situations, she is just seen quietly observing or listening--which is not entirely a weakness, but her inclination to staying quiet makes conversation with her a bit awkward at times. Around unfamiliar people, Chrome still remains timid, though in the series, she attempts to change that as the chapters go on. At first, Chrome appears to be quiet and even a little aloof, but as she grows stronger in her skills, she also attempts to strengthen bonds with a couple of other people, namely, Kyoko and Haru who attempt to befriend her.
Samples (ALL samples must be set in Luceti-verse.)
First Person: Q&A please, if it isn't too much to ask!
Third Person: Cringing slightly as she felt the light hit her face, Chrome raised her hand and shielded her eyes--rather, her eye--from the sunlight that was filtering through the dense forest. She could feel a dull ache throbbing against her skull, and a large portion of her back seemed to be sore as well, but she attempted to ignore it with an attempt to analyze and discover where she was. As quiet and as calm as her surroundings looked, Chrome could not help but feel like this wasn't as safe a place as seemed to be.
Allowing herself some time for her eye to adjust to the light, Chrome stood still, slowly looking around to see if there was anyone else in the area. Her first instinct was to look for the three people closest to her--meekly, she called out, "...Mukuro-sama? Ken? ...Chikusa?" Despite the fact that she could already tell that she was isolated, Chrome waited awhile, as if she expected the woods around her to inform her that her companions were not there. When it got a little too quiet for her liking, Chrome checked her surroundings once again, the fear starting to sink in a little. Just where was she? This place was completely foreign. Unfamiliar.
...Then again, so were these clothes. It took awhile for her to realize that she was not in her default attire, and if it weren't for the breeze gently reminding her of that, Chrome thought that she wouldn't have noticed until much later. Picking at her white dress, she inspected the material curiously, rubbing at the fabric with her thumb and forefingers. It was loose and comfortable--but she preferred the clothes that she usually wore. But then came the unavoidable question: Just how did she end up wearing these clothes anyway? Mulling over the question silently in her head, a small squeak of embarrassment escaped her lips as she considered the option that someone had changed her clothes for her.
Slightly flustered, Chrome shook her head slightly--that kind of thing should be the least of her worries, especially if she was in a place that she didn't recognize. What was important was trying to find out any kind of hints about where she was at the moment, and as such, Chrome would have to explore a little. Habitually, she looked towards the ground, as that was normally a logical place for her to pick up her weapon--but the girl froze. Where was the trident? She glanced in several directions, scanning the general area in hopes of seeing something shiny gleam against the soft sunlight that was seeping through. It wasn't just a weapon after all, it was Mukuro-sama's, and she needed it.
She didn't like where any of this was going.
